We’re getting close to our next release and we’re looking for users to take a look at the new features and give us feedback.

If you’d like a sneak peak and are willing to provide feedback, please let us know by sending email to feedback@xpenser.com . We’ll get you setup and add you to our early tester group (or you can volunteer for just this release).

And as we’re finally getting finished with this release (we made the mistake of piling too many things into this one; we prefer small, frequent releases), this is a great time to put in your request for your favorite features and improvements for future release. We tabulate all your requests and use them to prioritize what we implement, so get your requests in by sending us email or leaving comments here.

We’ve been hard at work on the next release of Xpenser (which will include some fairly significant improvements, look for it in the next few weeks), and nothing picks us up and gives us an extra boost of energy like your fantastic emails. Whether a quick “love Xpenser” or the epic two page tomes some of you are sending, it’s sure to put a smile on our faces. We collect them and circulate them to the team in the mornings and afternoons and we definitely enjoy them (even the ones advising us to employ a designer ). Thank you Emma, Georges, Berthold, Brett, Carrie, Armin, and everyone else who’s written in recently.

We love to hear from you, even (and specially) when you tell us what we need to improve, so please keep the feedback coming: feedback@xpenser.com .

We’ve heard from quite a few of you about the unusual and interesting uses you’ve found for Xpenser. Fantastic! If you’ve got a clever use for Xpenser leave a comment here or write us (feedback@xpenser.com) and let us know. Don’t be shy; we’d like to do what we can to accommodate the things you want to do.

Some of the things you’ve been doing:

Tracking diet and calories. Create a report called “diet” and record what you eat. Eg. “burger 325 island’s”, where 325 is the number of calories.

Tracking mileage. <strike>This will be supported soon</strike>, but people are already doing it manually. Update: mileage tracking is now available via the Keywords page.

Tracking exercise and fitness. People have been keeping track of their exercise regiment. Eg. “running 6 miles”, “weights 45 minutes”.

Tracking time. Eg. “contract review 0.75 client X”.

Tracking tasks and bugs. This is an unusual one, but a few of you are doing some sort of project management… We don’t quite get this one, but feel free to enlighten us.

General notes. Some people are using Xpenser to record general notes and reminders on the run.

Let us know if you’re doing these or other things, and if you’re interested let us know which ones we should provide better support for.
