Android App For Xpenser Now Available

A little while ago we released the Xpenser API and Platform, opening the door for third parties to build new and interesting applications on top of Xpenser, provide new applications and interfaces, and integrate Xpenser into their own products. The Xpenser Android application is one of the applications been built using these APIs by REI Computer Consulting.
An Android app for Xpenser has been one of your top requests for some time, and now thanks to the folks at REI Computer Consulting, it is available!
The Android application is quite capable – it not only allows you to record new expenses, but also lets you view your previous expenses and reports, and provides both a quick add and a detailed add capability. We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have been quite impressed.

Is there a trial version as I would like to try it before I buy it to make sure it is going to work for me.
There are too many apps out there at a couple of dollars here and a couple of dollars there that you have to pay for and find out they dont do what you want and your money is gone.

I think it’s not available in Hong Kong.
I just downloaded it but can’t find a way to quickly attach a photo of the receipt.
Xpenser gurus… thanks so much for this app! I’ve been using Xpenser for a long time now and can’t imagine my life without it, to be honest. So glad to see an Android app now as well… I’m looking forward to my next road trip just as an excuse to use it.

ahousely, I believe the ability to attach receipts is part of the short term roadmap; we’ll get REI’s input on it and respond here or in a new post.

Actually the ability to add receipts is already in the app, its part of the “Detailed Add”, which is accessible from the menu.
Not available in Venezuela either
@Anand and @raul, it looks like paid Android apps are not available in some countries. REI Consulting (the makers of the app) was looking at alternative distribution mechanisms for those countries.

Can’t we pay with paypal or something and then mail us the apk file?
I used market enabler to get it. THe problem is too many force closes. Propably there is a problem when syncing. Dont know exactly what, but it hangs and force closes.
Basically the program stops responding when i press the menu button

why we have to pay for Android version while iphone version is free? too bad I have to find another alternative too!
